Welcome to lafh! It's my full name shortened into what always makes things better, having a good laugh. That's why I'm here doing what makes me happy and makes me lafh on a daily basis!! I'm either laughing at something in my day, but mostly I'm just laughing at myself and navigating my journey.
This one has been a long one filled with ups and downs, but in and through it all there's always laughter. 
First of all I am Lesley. A Mom of 3 children with autism. 3? Yes three! They are my cliché, my life and my joy and in most moments where I find my lafh at it's best. I asked them if I could say it here, and the reply was, "ofcourse Mom, you've got three with a "tism", if you know, you know!" Another lafh moment! Mental health awareness checks on full blast! But it's ok, we'll get through. They're all adults now and together there's nothing better than the sound of their laughter.

To add into the mix I have a diagnosed chronic condition called Fybromalgia. It can get me down and make me a pretty unpredictable person. I have found part of the key and that's balance, the rest? Well, I just have to learn to lafh about the struggles because to let them overpower me means I will lose my lafh! No way!!

Okay, to make a trilogy shorter, I found myself approaching 54 and started creating on a daily basis. I'm a self taught artist. I create, I paint, write and I read, man do I read. Everything just flows now. I'm a teacher and since recently a registered Art Therapy practitioner. And now, drum roll, I find myself in a vulnerable position, as all artists do, I bring my offerings to you. Every piece I make is attached to a memory, some music and or just some lafh at her best or sometimes worst. But we keep on growing, learning and laughing.  It's when we start taking everything so seriously that we start to lose that spark, and as we all know life's too short! So for now all I ask you to do is just lafh along with me.
